SCOTT
SARBEY, CPA
Scott is a South Florida native and a graduate of the University of Florida and is the Firm’s Managing Partner. Scott supervises the Firm’s Attestation and Internal Audit Outsourcing services practices and works with a variety of clients ranging from closely held entities to large publicly traded corporations.
Prior to joining Sarbey, Lexow & Kaufman, LLC, Scott was a senior manager in the Audit and Business Advisory practice of Arthur Andersen, LLP where he, for over ten years, worked with several of the firm’s most prestigious clients. In addition to traditional Audit Services, Scott served clients of the Firm’s Accounting Outsourcing practice where he supervised their day-to-day accounting operations. Scott also worked as Vice President and Corporate Controller for a national commercial printing company. In this capacity, Scott oversaw the accounting, internal control, and overall business operations of each of the company’s eleven locations.
Scott has extensive experience in working with clients in a wide variety of industries, including internet services, manufacturing, hospitality, wholesale distribution, financial services, and retail. In addition to SLK’s traditional Financial Statement Attestation practice, Scott also heads the Internal Audit Outsourcing practice and co-authored an article, “A Plan for Succession”, published in the July 2011 issue of Internal Auditor magazine.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a member of the AICPA Information Management and Technology Assurance section.
